During the pandemic, I was able to spend time going out for runs and spend some time on warming up and cooling down. In this video, I'm going to share with you my run warmup routine.
It's all dynamic, which is recommended prior to athletic activity or cardiovascular exercise, while more static stretching should be done after these activities.
We will go through about a 10 minute pre run or pre sport, dynamic warmup below. This can be done outside or inside. Today I'm going to do it all standing in place in a spare room. Other good places to do it could be if you have like a track or a turf field in your neighborhood, you can kind of pick a distance of 20 or 30 feet and do some of this stuff moving across the turf.
