PHYSICAL THERAPY
What is physical therapy?
Physical therapy is a mode of medically treating and improving pain, recovering from illness or injury, returning to life after surgery, and improving your health through lifestyle changes.

Physical therapists are trained experts with doctorate degrees and extensive training in human movement, health, and performance... but most of all, we are humans too.

We work with you and will listen to your story. We understand how important your goals are to you and will help you find the best path to move towards them too.
DRY NEEDLING
What is a trigger point?
A trigger point is an area of knotted up tissue muscle that often causes a lot of pain when it's touched or massaged and can also refer to other parts of the body when touched. We will often see these all over the body, but especially in the neck or shoulders for people who work desk jobs. Other areas can be the upper traps, forearms, low back, your glutes, and your thighs.
What is dry needling?
Physical therapists use dry needling to address muscle stiffness, muscle pain, and to help restore and increase function. What we do is use an acupuncture needle or a monofilament needle inserted into the muscle itself, or the knotted tissue in the muscle to help release some of that tension that we otherwise wouldn't be able to address with our hands. These areas of knotted tissue are called trigger points.
Should I get dry needling?
Anyone can potentially benefit from dry needling, and it's definitely worth trying out if you haven't been able to find anything else to release the tense tissue. If you're struggling with stiffness, trying dry needling could be the answer for you to help restore function, improve flexibility, and get rid of that pain.
YOGA
Practicing Yoga
Practicing yoga can benefit many things including strength, balance, and flexibility. It helps you to develop inner awareness and focus your attention to your body's abilities in that present moment.

Here at CustomFit, we are now offering weekly morning online yoga with our instructor, Riley. Read on to learn more out our instructor, Riley:
"Hi everyone! I’m Riley, and I’m so excited for the opportunity to practice with you. I have been practicing yoga since I was young alongside my mom, though I really developed my own personal practice over the last 7 years. I received my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification in Bali, Indonesia this past July, specializing in Hatha and Vinyasa styles of yoga. I began teaching in-studio and private classes in September, focusing mainly on vinyasa. See you on your mat!"
